Thanks to Photojojo.com — check out http://www.handmadefont.com for some funky fonts made from objects like cookies, toast, grass, leather. Actual objects formed into fonts. Love it.
And for those who have always wanted to take a class at Jessica Sprague’s site, she’s offering a free class on card making!

Came across another great resource for making printed photo albums. Heritage Makers.
Seeing as it’s wedding season, they have a wedding collection that includes coordinated memory books, invitations and thank you notes! They can be coordinated with your wedding colors or just your favorite color. Seems like a great idea.
They have nation-wide consultants that help you create and publish your book. You can host a party or start a business as a consultant.
I recently saw a production by a woman who made a prayer book for a little girl who had open heart surgery. It was very beautiful.

I have a large family. I have 3 children I gave birth to and I have 3 children adopted from China and one I call my borrowed child – long story. We are also in the process of adopting an 8 year old boy from Taiwan, too! One important thing that adoptive parents often provide for their internationally-adopted children is a Life Book. Most adopted children don’t have baby photos or treasured mementos of their baby years. But often the adoptive family has photos and information from their adoption trip that can serve as a history for the adopted child.
I happened to find a website today that offers adoption-themed digital scrapbook pages and life books! I was so excited. Digital Scrapbook Kits offers kits that are geared toward adoptive families with kits from many cultures including Africa, Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe. In just the Asian section, they have 55 items with an Asian-theme.

There are also kits relating to sports, family, holidays, announcements and celebrations.
One section on their site shows kits that give back to Charity! The one I checked out gave a donation to Love Without Boundaries and Half the Sky!

I know where I’m going shopping! I have been attempting to put together books for my kids, but I’m woefully behind and this may be the answer I’ve been looking for! Hope you like them, too!

Okay. I will admit it. I have an addiction.
FONTS. I love fonts. I love serifs, non-serif, handwritten, stamped and script fonts. I think it all started back in college when I took an advertising design class in the art department. I remember falling in love with fonts then. But that was, sadly, before computers were our best friends. Now, you can own all kinds of delicious fonts that can improve your scrapbook pages. I absolutely LOVE the website scrapNfonts.com and they have EVERY SINGLE ITEM FOR $1!!! Think of all the yummy fonts you can buy that will enhance your pages!
Want to give a “fun” feeling? Choose a font that gives that feeling like LD UNIQUE. Or if you’re trying to be serious, try the more grown up SNF GEORGIANA. There are hand-drawn fonts like LDJ REVELRY and fonts that look like handwriting like the freebie LD TRADITIONAL PRINT LINED.
ScrapNfonts also offers WordArt that you can incorporate into your pages and there are also tons of Doodlebats (small drawings that fit into a theme whether it be barbecue or hearts or Christmas.) There are also brushes that can be used in your favorite program so sit down with a big cup of coffee and spend a few days hours perusing the delicious fonts at scrapNfonts! If you are as addicted as me, maybe we can meet and start a Font Lover’s Anonymous Group sometime. I’ll know who you are by your beautiful pages with all those cool fonts.

Okay.. you’ve just created a masterpiece and you want everyone to see it.. what do you do? Post it to Facebook? Tweet about it? Maybe… but give it some substance and style with a frame made just for your scrapbook page. Sounds expensive, right? Nahhh. You can pick it up from TARJAY! Um.. I mean, Target. Check it out. Way cool. Wish I had one (hint hint to my hubby who is wondering what I want for Mother’s Day! … besides all my digi pages printed out and put in a leather bound book for me… hahaha).
PS — when I visit that site, I’m also offered the opportunity to purchase a Barak Obama doll. I think I’m being WATCHED. ::giggle::

I think you guys would really like this if you’re a first time digi-scrapper. Designer Digitals is one of my favorite sites. I’m planning to tell you more about them as soon as the earth stops rotating so quickly and I have more time in a day.. but I wanted to give you another little tidbit from them that I think is really helpful.
A PDF file from Designer Digitals to help you get started in digi scrapping! If you’re already doin’ digi, you may not need it but pass it on to a friend who is still stuck in paperland, covered in glue!!
I’ll be back with more SOON. There’s so much to share, I don’t want you to miss any of it!

I really want one of these.. but with as many kids as I have, I’d have to have 2 bracelets.
What better way to show off your adorable photos than a bracelet or necklace that display your prized pictures? Check out Memory Maker Photo Jewelry:
Whether you choose a bracelet in gold or silver tone, or a necklace, key chain or bookmark, each one can be personalized with your favorite photos.
Oh, but wait. Your favorite photo is huge.. and how on earth do you get it sized down to the right size to go in the bracelet or necklace? Never fear. Memory Maker Jewelry offers EZ Fit Photo Reduction service to shrink your photo down to the appropriate size and shape!
Each of the products they sell is really cute. And not overly expensive either! Below are a few of my favorites. Cell phone charms, ID Badge necklaces and Photo Charm kits. They’re all adorable.
Now you know what to get mom for Mother’s Day.. or me! I’ll take one of each.
